1) Glad that I was in time to get on the train before it broke down entirely for the whole evening and night. Was on my way to visit papa and I'm glad I left early! Almost wanted to see another kid 5-6pm but I declined. So glad I did that, else I'll be stuck in the train!

2) Happy to spend sometime with papa during the evening. He seemed alright despite the admission.

3) Glad the kids made it to visit papa. Although I know he always said dun trouble, he was actually smiling when ABC visited him.

1) Made a boo boo today and went for home visit when the parent had already informed me to cancel it. O well, at least I do not have a session in the morning, hence I could make my way back to office without having to rush or squeeze with others.

2) Very happy to hear that my little kiddo is expending his play repertoire apart from playing with cars. The pretend play we had was awesome, although I got hit in the face by his 'sword' as he pretended to be a knight, doing sword fighting against me.

3) Glad to spend time with Pupz and Abby during dinner time. Had indian food for dinner and we were stuffed. I still had stomach for ice cream though. So satisfied tonight!

1) Went for lunch buffet for Uncle Peter's birthday celebration at Westin Hotel. It's always fun to have big family gathering. Post lunch was followed by cake cutting at uncle's house. Fun fun fun!

2) Glad that we have time to play mahjong. Albeit I always lose, at least we get to play, talk and gossip...hehe...

3) Had durian feast for the night as puppy went for colleague's wedding. We had so fun eating the durian together and it was nice that we all talked about how best to hide and eat the durian so that Pupz would not be bothered by the smell at the new house in future. Can't wait to have durian in the roof top next time!

1) Finally found time to get my nails done and got them to be lavender colour! Love it!

2) Got to meet up with Gage and Ck today...lovely to catch up with them. Appreciate it when Gage was able to shop around with me despite being tired.

3) Happy to be able to sing Karaoke with Puppy and his friends. The room we got was damn small but super cosy!

1) Spent the afternoon with my folks at KTPH. Glad I get to spend sometime with them, though it's for doctor consult, at least I get to talk to them and follow up on the details of their Taiwan trip. I'm glad that my dad is optimistic and strong willed. Hopefully the procedures will go well.

2) Glad to spend time with Nikki. It's great to catch up with her. So proud of this woman! She's gonna go for her PhD soon! Omg...can't wait to call her Dr Ow hahahah...

3) Puppy always make an effort to fetch me when I'm out with my friend. Despite being tired..he always make it a point to ask me where I would be and he'll make his way down to fetch me. Appreciate it so much!

1) I'm glad to see the little girl who is so cute and  was  always asking me about my marriage life...she's only 5 yo but she asked the most innocent and cutest questions ever. As much as I hate it when people asked me why am I not pregnant yet, this little girl asked me if I'm angry with my husband when I said I haven't gotten a baby yet...very funny question ain't it! I burst out laughing and told her I'm not angry with my husband, I'm just waiting for the baby to be ready to 'come to my tummy'

2) Happy that I got to knock off at 5pm. Never had dinner so early and to get home before sun set...

3) Puppy made his way down to have lunch with me! Love it when I get to spend more time with him :)

1) Managed to get Sze to play badminton with us today. We all missed him since he went Brazil! Glad that he had fun :)

2) Glad that I managed to go to work and go home together with puppy. Always nice to share the journey with him and talk along while we take train and while he drives.

3) Glad that my little Indian Boy has made progressed. Love talking to him, teasing him and seeing his eyes sparkle!

1) Happy to see my curly hair cutie pie. The mummy is always so warm and great in playing with her child.

2) We had dinner with my in laws, uncle peter and his wife as well as Andy and Abby. It's always heart warming to see the elderly enjoying themselves. Despite my head bursting from the immense pain, glad that I could still stomach some food.

3) Am happy to see my sis in law's tummy growing! Can't wait to see baby Andrew! 

1) Glad that despite not feeling well, I'm able to finish some of my work.

2) Bought dinner home on my way home from seeing doctor. Happy to be able to have dinner with Pupz when he knocked off.

3) Grateful that we are able to chit chat and talk despite puppy having a tiring day at work :)

1) Happy to meet up with Shimin and Apple for a short awhile. It's been ages since we last met. Am glad that Shimin is feeling better and moving on with her life. I do admire her change of mindset in attempting to try new things and keep herself occupied with meaningful activities that can cheer herself up. Glad that Apple get to spend sometime with us after settling her kids back home.

2) Hubby bought me a sleepwear while he was out with my bro and sis in law. And I thought he bought something for himself when I saw the quicksilver paper bag. Happy that he thought of me even when he was out watching movie with Andy and Abby.

3) Peifen and Aaron are coming back on 6 Aug!!! No more wanting-to-meet-up-but-realize-she's-not-in-Singapore moment! I can finally have my buddy back in the same time zone!

1) Spent the morning having breakfast with Puppy. Glad that I managed to wake up early to accompany Pupz. As a well known sleepy head, I think it's quite an achievement for me to get up early on weekends...

2) Glad that I managed to find a decent dress for the wedding dinner. I've put on so much weight since getting married that I couldn't fit into many of the dresses that I've bought...

3) Very very happy to be able to attend SQ & Jasy's wedding. So glad to see Sq's parents being so happy with their son settling down! Blissful marriage ahead!

1) Glad that I was able to rush back to clinic and be in time for my 1pm kid. It's been really hectic having to rush from Mindsville to clinic. I was so happy when I could get a cab back, reduced so much of my traveling time!

2) Had crappy lunch that consisted of only one curry puff. I am so happy that Puppy agreed to have Korean food and would share the hot pot with me despite knowing that it would be a huge potion of food to consume.

3) Glad that I dun have to work on Sat...at least I get to rest alittle more...

1) My favorite  girl came into the clinic exclaiming that I looked good in my hair...felt so happy despite the fact that I felt like a broom head after the soft rebonding was done...

2) Happy that my hubby would include me in dinner with his colleagues...

3) I managed to get the minion figurin today! The Macdonald at Forum was completely sold out. I went to the one at boat quay instead. So happy to get one!!! Had a happy meal while waiting for my hubby to knock off!!!

1) Appreciate Uncle Peter for inviting us to the Mercedes AMG launch event at Grand Hyatt. It was an experience I've not been through before. No doubt I was super underdress (like really super underdress), it was fun watching how people mingle and how the organizer arranged the pre show before they let everyone have a view and touch of the latest AMG GTS.

2) There was a major boo boo at work yesterday, resulting in me having only 15 min lunch, to make up for the session  and having my kid to make an alternate arrangement with his project mates. Am really glad that things turned out well, like really well. I was prepared for the mum to yell or make a fuss for the time delay and inconvenience caused. Instead she was soooooo understanding and assured me that it was not within my control to begin with. I've been with this mum and kid for awhile, and to see her being so calm and collected dealing with such situation instead of exploding, I truly think she's changed for the better! And I'm so happy for her!

3) At the end of the day, I'm just glad that I get to go home and sleep as I was dead beat...I so badly want this June hols to end!

1) Happy to have dinner with choon sze and his partner tonight! Went to a new place that he recommended and got to eat tasty dishes! So glad to hear him narrate his working experience in Brazil!

2) Puppy told me funny jokes today. Sometimes I wonder what's stored in his head...he can really crack funny stuffs and pull off the jokes to make me laugh like mad..

3) Glad that my parents are back home safely. Glad that they've enjoyed their Taiwan trip!

1) I'm happy that I got to eat my mee sua and subway salad for dinner today. Despite having dinner alone and having a portion that's way larger than what I used to consume, I'm glad I could get my cravings satisfied.

2) Glad that my friend is back in town and sparing time to meet up with me.

3) Glad that despite me being short fused, Puppy was still patiently listening to me and trying to appease me. Can never get angry with him for long, though I sometimes like to pretend to be petty just so that he will coax me. I also know I cannot be keeping up with this all the time. Will reduce my pettiness and stubbornness...

1) I'm grateful that Puppy was willing to buy breakfast in the morning and agreed to soaked in the pool with me under the sun. I love it when we do silly stuffs together and just chat along in the jacuzzi pool. Thank you Puppy for bringing me to have scones for tea when I said I'm craving for it ;p

2) Glad that my in-laws helped me look for my phone when it went missing momentarily as I've forgotten where I last placed it.

3) Happy that I finally get to clean our dusty bed room with the help of my mother in law. Yes, no helper at home and part time helper has left Singapore, so for now we have to rely on ourselves to keep the house reasonably clean...

I think I should start being more positive and start counting my blessings. No more negativity or whining...I really dun like the negative vibes I give out from time to time. 

Perhaps I should list down three each day, starting from today...

1) Despite super busy schedule and lotsa stress at work, Puppy made his way down to have lunch with me! It's an effort and I truly appreciate him for wanting to spend his time with me despite seeing me every single day ;p

2) Doting mother-in-law boiled ginger-red dates tea for me to bring to work. I'm lucky to have her taking care of my health and well being :)

3) Grateful to have the ability to persuade my parents to go for the Taiwan trip and have the means to support them financially too.

1) Happy that I can still relate to kids of various age and make an impact on them.

2) Gage messaged me today to ask of my whereabouts. I thought he saw me at Bugis and that I missed out on saying hi to him. Turned out, he was on his way to Sengkang with his mum and thought to ask me to join them if I were at punggol visiting my parents. Very sweet to have a friend who thinks of me from time to time and try to include me in his activity. 

3) Big gathering for Fathers' day celebration with the Neo family. The laughters, chattings and jokes shared among the elderly, the youngs and the not-so-youngs were truly heart warming :)

Of 2014...

Here I am recovering from another bulk of gastric flu, listening to chinese songs and waiting for the air conditioner repairman to do the maintenance. Am also trying to get work done (not...really not in the mood to...) while waiting for hubby to buy ingredients for me to cook for our lunch.

Have not been on this platform for quite awhile, have not typed my thoughts so freely for quite awhile.

I am thankful for everything that happened in 2014. The good, the not so good, the bad. Yes, even the bad. 

I am thankful for my family who has been very supportive and helpful during my wedding preparation and my transition to being another man's wife. My beloved parents have forever been so thoughtful and least demanding of me. 

I am thankful that I am able to help and ride the waves with my one and only sibling. Yes I grumbled and I lamented but I am still glad that he turned to me for help during the down times. I cannot imagine how he went through what he went through and still goes through. I guess I will never understand. I can only listen and try to mediate. I am thankful that I can still do that. I do hope he will see the good in everything and everyone around him. It's not easy to get rid of that extremely dark cloud above us but who says the sun will not triumph and create some rain above our heads, only to let us see the rainbows at the end of day?

I am thankful for my hubby for accepting me for who I am and still loving me. I know you love me and have been utmost patient with me. The respect, concern, passion and love you've showered me, I still think I am the luckiest girl ever to have you by my side. With you by my side, I think we can overcome many many mountains (apart from Mt Kinabalu ;p )

I am thankful for my in-laws for being so open minded and guiding me along the way ever since I moved in together with my hubby. They have been so understanding and easy going. My mother-in-law has been so thoughtful, always teaching me new stuffs and pointing out things to take note of in the family. I still remember she called me to the kitchen to tell me how to differentiate if the egg is cooked. It's the same kind of feeling when my mum was teaching me cooking stuffs. My father-in-law has been really great in sharing stories of the family with me as well. He's the gem in the family!

I am thankful for my brother and sister-in-law. I have now loved the moments of the 4 of us, sitting at mahjong table - gossiping and laughing at one another's silly acts, perhaps most of the time mine and my hubby's. I hope we will continue to do that when we move into Belgravia. 

I am thankful for my friends and colleagues. I know I have not been the best in keeping up with most of my friends. Perhaps occasional messages are not enough but I would continue to stay in touch. You guys still mean alot to me! I am so thankful to have a bunch of supportive colleagues at work. It has been rough and their presence makes everything so much more bearable. 

I am thankful to be able to learn that I should have stuck to the motto of separating personal stuffs from work. In my 6 coming 7 years of work, it took me a good 3-4 years to open up and share personal stuffs with people in the office. Now, I can't help but shut myself out completely in order not to be affected. Numbers can be fixed, words and trust once broken are difficult to build. I am sorry, I tried to look the other way and to brush it off but this time round, I think I am too disappointed. 

To end with a better note, I think I am ready to step out and explore. I need to build a healthier and more positive self!

Nails in the fence [Unknown Author]

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there." The little boy then understood how powerful his words were. He looked up at his father and said "I hope you can forgive me father for the holes I put in you." "Of course I can," said the father. ~~ My husband was the first person who told me about this story and I totally agreed with the meaning behind this.  I have always disliked confrontations. I have always believed that in the fit of anger, despite whatever words that you actually do not mean it, those words said could have done so much harm and caused so many scars. What does one do, when the place you once thought was really great to stay put upon has changed and now you are left with nothingness?  Uncertainty is the only constant...I guess I should have known better...
