Vietnam trip Day 1 to Day 3

Finally get my arse down to upload the photos from my veitnam trip. It's really fun! Met interesting ppl, saw interesting things...

~Day 1 ~















In the cramped up budget airplane, i think i juz woke up...haha

Huge market place we went to...kinda reminds me of the wet market we had in the old days















Nice cold dessert...but waaaayy too sweet! If i stay in vietnam for too long, i think i'll get diabetes...















The ladies doing manicure and pedicure at a corner of the huge market...Really cheap...so we girls went to get our pedi done for like 3 bucks sing dollars...hehe

Have yet to mention how scary the traffic is in Ho Chi Minh...for ppl like me who dun even know how to jaywalk in singapore, i practically scream my way thru while crossing the roads on the first day...you cant wait at the side for the traffic to clear cos you wait till sunset they also wont clear...you juz gotta hack it and walk to the destination you want...by 3rd, 4th day, i'm proud to say we girls can cross any streets anyhow we want in vietnam! haha

~Day 2~
Cu Chi tunnel














The hidden trap! No wonder vietnamese won...















Dun see the entrance so darn small...even the ang mo tourists could squeeze their bodies thru when they tried...

It was darn cramp and dark inside the tunnel. I kept head butting into the lady infront of me cos i cant see a thing...can only feel! haha...and after the first tunnel i refused to go in again cos i juz couldnt stand being trapped in a small space...claustrophobic..yes...alittle...

After the tunnel tour, we went to walk on our own, visiting the cathedral, post office and more eating place...not to forget our favourite coffee break....
















































































~Day 2~

woke up darn early for this trip...abit blur blur















toilet break...we pee~ed pretty fast plus we dun smoke...so nothing to do we took pic instead lo....haha















Floating market, basically the ppl will hang the food that they are selling on the bamboo stick...so if you sell tapioca you'll hang a bunch on top so that other boats from afar will know what you're selling...if i own a boat...i'll sell bras...haha...imagine bamboo stick with bras hanging and blowing in the wind...how nice...muah haha

It's like the card he sent me back when he was in Thailand having his IA. The moment i opened the card, i teared. The moment i read the msg on his blog, i teared too...

I'm so glad i managed to rush to airport in time to send u off. Practically ran to the departure side the moment the bus stopped at T 1. I was so afriad that i'll miss sending u, miss giving u the goodbye hug...

Happy that you'll be having fun in London, sad that i wont get to see u till end of this year.

Thanx for accompanying me yesterday, telling me where to get the winter clothings, where to get nice raybands...eating japanese food with me...bitching with me or at me...

P/s: Baby boy 2 has joined us 3 weeks earlier!!! And guess what...he's delievered at home!! Mama was the midwife!!! How cool is that?! Am so proud of my sis-in-law and my mom...

anyway auggy fell asleep on my lap juz now while listening to chipmunks and cuppycake song...i think i have this hypnotising effect...juz need to hum songs, pat his legs and he'll fall asleep...on the train, on the bus, in my room facing the computer, on my laps...easy baby to take care hor...i wish my future baby will be like him too...hoho...

anyway going for chalet now!! yippee! 六人帮 unite, along with fellow spouses and our centre of attention - my 6 months old god daughter, yixin=) Cant wait to see this little cutey pie!

So...what exactly did i do on the first day after my contract ended...well well...i was busy k...really...

~Fri~
Caught the movie pirates in the morning then went down to find yd at his work place. As usual, i get the best service plus good products to be used on my skin while i'm at his counter...hehe...

Went to the PC show to find out more about lappy price...

Met ck and james for dinner then went home to rest...

Went to get my lappy at PC show....am so much poorer now...sob...

~Sun~
Spent most part of the day cleaning my dusty room...babysitting sick auggy with sis...trying to fend off auggy's itchy hands while i was trying to wipe my desk and stuffs....

That's too much for me...first banker's calls...now mr h's sudden sms...wah liao...can there ever be a better timing than this...

2nd time such things happened...

Dinner with my folks and the young one...

Mommy suggested we go out for dinner in the evening since bro and sis-in-law going for concert on their own...

4pm, baby boy budged into my room to wake me up from my lovely nap...i tot he was juz being irritating...so i chased him out and locked my door...

heard from mom that he went crying...saying my door was locked and kept asking her for the keys to open my door...and why was he so gan jiong about getting me up? Cos he wanna go out and mama told him to wake moi up...doink...

Anyway...got up, washed up and off we went to clark quay...














I always tell my parents that auggy belongs to the 尖屁股 category. So i gave him 2 train stops...after 2 train stops he'll definitely wanna get out of his seat and go running around...surprisingly he surpassed the 4th stop before fidgeting and go running to and fro =p

We had to take turns to eat cos this bugger as i've said, wont sit still to have his dinner. Dessert was Azabu ice cream which 4 of us shared a cup of strawberry and mango ice cream by the riverside...

Mommy was busy telling me where exactly her old house was at clark quay and that she had to cross the bridge to the market (which is the current Central) to buy grocery...while auggy was busy trying to get his spoon as much ice cream as possible from the cup...daddy was trying out some of it too though he aint suppose to eat sweet stuff...hehe...















Mama sat him on the table...told him to pose for photo..and he went 'Ha ha'...pretty nice eh...considering he didnt fidget that much...















Taken in the train...had to use 2 sweets to resolve his 尖屁股 issues...tiring k...
Used my phone to distract him too...took this photo and he went 'hee hee' with the sweet in his teeth...darn darn funny when i look at it...

Just love the evening we spent together...
No squabblings over what to eat what not...or where to go where not to...
So fun!

I wonder if i'll have aches tomolo when i wake up...after all the chasing, running and carrying...darn tired now...

no wonder they say wanna have kids should have them when you're young...tiring to run after toddlers leh....

~Last day of work~

Yipppeee! Went back AH on my last day of work. Sigh, didnt get to talk much with my colleagues cos lunch break was at auditorium, listening to vision alignment. As usual, CEO always have the last say. Thing is, the talk aint that bad, some of his view points do make sense, juz not all...haha

3 of my colleagues including my boss took half day off cos they knew i'll be around to help out in the hands department. Doink...so i ended up spending my afternoon in the stuffy-air con-not working dept. Luckily Lynn and my lovely TAs were around.

It's been awhile since i get to see 4 patients at the same time. Kinda messy but still i like multi-tasking in this case, time passed so much faster.

Boss was nice enough to buy me lunch and soya bean milk. Went for the lunch talk together, juz like those days when i was her student. She's so sweet can, bought me this portable speakers as farewell gift. Really cool, considering my only portable ones are the 'hello kitty' speakers that mom bought years ago. I'll probably pack it for my study=)

Her last msg for me was funny too...apologised that she had to rush off cos she need to be home for pest control guy to kill the termites in her house and that she hope we can be colleagues again. Soo sweet...

I'll probably visit them after my vietnam trip, either to give them goodies from vietnam or be their 'marks n spencer' girl again =) Of cos i'll go back to visit jmc too...hehe...my cups and cactus still there le...

Banker called with a new no. WTF...prank call me 3 times cos i couldnt recognise his voice.

What is it you want? If you wanna tell me you've gotten a new no. juz tell me, juz tell me straight. And if you're bored, look for other girls who can give u better entertainment than i do...for god sake...you're reaching the end of ur big 3...be like one...

my sunday...

Couped myself up at home for the whole of Saturday. Dun think i talked more than 10 sentences yesterday, partly due to the fact that no one was home anyway.

Read magazines, watched tv, ate my chips, listened to my music, typed my blog to vent my frustrations. Those were the things i did for the whole of Sat. Waste of time to you but that was just what i need to do to get my sanity back. I always use my weekends to watch tv. As much as i like, as long as i like, till the point that i'm tired and doze off in front of the tv. Always like that kinda feeling.

Feeling much much better today. Went out with Audrey to Toys' Rus and bought baby boy some toys. Was deciding btw kitchen set and doc set. Decided upon the doctor set cos i dun wan him to dwell on food too much. I hope he likes the toy, at the most i'll be his patient to let him do the 'injection' ...haha...

Went around looking for red heels. Ppl everywhere. Crowds everywhere. Had my dinner with fen and audrey at my favourite soup spoon again. Yummy...

3 more days to go....

Was what we had last nite...We each ordered the huge one last nite...ate tortilla chips and the wrongly ordered nachos...it was fun =)

Weirdly...i wasnt in the mood to club after the drinks...wasnt in the mood to dance or giggle or laugh or do silly talks...

Not in the mood to do anything except feeling sad and sleepy....how pathetic...that's soo not me...i mean sleepy...yes...but never sad...i was never feeling sad in my tipsy state...

Boy is he not only a glutton but a long winded baby glutton too...o man...

When was the last time I watched a film which was soooo hilarious, which caused me to laugh and clapp like siao char bo...only to realise the rest of the ppl in the cinema were doing the same!

I miss watching French films...sometimes it seemed absurd in how the story went but the twist within it juz caught us off guard...

Moi love Audrey Taotou! She's so versatile in whichever roles she took up (eh...except for Da Vinci =p) . From the psychotic stalker in ' He loves me, he loves me not" to the materialistic girl in 'Priceless'.....She's such a sweet, captivating lady when she smiles...so childlike...Love her big watery eyes....

Anyway, this movie is a must watch. It's way better than spidey...And i came out of the cinema feeling satisfied!

I cant help laughing when i replay the scenes in my mind...where Jean flashed his 30,000 euro watch in front of Irene...the widely used technique of saying unfinished sentence in a seductive way...

Woo...makes me feel like taking up French too....muah haha...surprise surprise....

fragile things

It's true isnt it...many things in life are so darn delicate...friendships, relationships, health, sanity...

I just realise i didnt receive any msg from her on the 12th...when did she stop? did i send her one on 25th Jan in the first place? Same old question again. When did we drifted? Why? Had i not put in enough effort to try and sustain this friendship? Or have i changed so much that she cannot stand talking to me anymore...same old questions...same old stuffs...same whys....

I guess in this case, I've been written off...by time? by love? by distance?

Dad will be going for checkup in late June and early July, I dun think i'll be able to accompany him for his July checkup. Will he want my company in the first place? Seriously, i dunno. Perhaps to him, it's not necessary. Did i not give him enough attention? But each time i did, I ended up with rejections and some curt remarks. I'm just not perfect or established enough for him to be proud of me.

Why am I not surpise that he doesnt rem my birthday this year. And someone suggested that the reason he called last Wed was becos of my birthday. It's not...and damn...it had me thinking about last year...when he remembered, celebrated and spent it with me...

I'll leave...without telling...perhaps that's the way it should be...makes no diff to them anyway...
